I just changed the fuel pump in my 2008 Rancher 420 but can't get it to start now! Hear the fuel pump running when I turn the switch and starter is working and trying to crank the engine but it won't start! Seems like fuel is not getting into the engine, but don't know for sure. How can I check that? How can I check if the fuel pump in working properly and how do I trouble shoot it?
I have already taken the fuel pump apart again once after replacing it and double checked everything and didn't see any issues unless the brand new pump is not working right!
Any help in troubleshooting this would be greatly appreciated.

Loosen up the line downstream from the pump, check for fuel. If no fuel, check the feed to the pump.

left out the little O-ring!!!

I just realized that I had left out the little O-ring that goes over the pump outflow port (the one that is only about half inch across)! the little rascal being the same color as the pump port was hard to see.
Do you think that could be the cause of my problem? Maybe too much fuel is leaking around it pump outflow to operate the fuel injections?
