was riding yesterday and switched to 4wheel drive. no luck. brought it home and realized the front driveshaft was the issue. I pulled the bolts out of the diff and pulled it forward to release the shaft. turns out the teeth of the driveshaft comming out of the engine are rounded quiet bad. see attached pics. i am wondering if this pulls out of the engine or do i have to split the case and take it out. thank you for reading. im hoping for the best. i dont have alot of experience when it comes to cracking the engine so i would like to avoid this if possible.

from what i see online looks like i have to replace the output shaft which requires opening her up. unless i weld it but that doesnt seem like a good idea.

Hi: Just give a good hard pull it should come right out.

so that end that comes out from the engine. it does pull out?

Hi: Yes it will pull right out -- there is a o-ring on the spline shaft -- make sure the bike is not moving when you are trying to pull it out.

Hi: Sorry I was thinking of a other bike -- you need to take it apart -- if you can weld it go for it --nothing to loose.
