I am lost. My 2008 Honda rancher 420 is stalling. It drives good when it first starts up and drives fine. A few minutes into driving both the thermostat light and F1 lights illuminate and it stalls. It will not start back up until it cools down. But really it's not hot at all, stalls after a few minutes. The problems I am experiencing points to the fuel injector and fuel injector relay. I replaced both and still have the problem. Any help would be appreciated.

So I just started the quad up and it ran idle good for about 20 minutes. It then stalled. There was a small coolant puddle on the ground. It was leaking from a hose on the top right (looking at the front of quad) also. When I bought the quad used the previous owner advised he put a new OEM radiator on it because a stick went through the old one. Thank you

You need to list what model Rancher you have. What aftermarket mods are on it and we can go from there.

When you say it is not hot when it stalls, how do you know this? Is it possible the prev owner ran it low on coolant and burned up the pump? Also you say the lights illuminate before it stalls?

check the carburetor and make sure their is no trash in it and if that's not it then try to put see foam in it and see if it will eat the trash out of the carburetor

@arowan,I wasn't cussing at you one time, I was pointing it out, that your telling members to check their carbs..when its not a carb on their machine !, certain atvs ( such as this one in this post ) has what is known as a throttle body, there is a big difference between a throttle body, and a carb !. even though they both mount to the intake side of the cylinder ?, they work very different !. one uses jets for fuel flow ( carb ) , other uses a fuel injector to send fuel into the cylinder ( throttle body ) with a fuel pump. and for the record ?, we dont allow curse words here, spec as a mod !!..lol.
