hey everyone I recently have blown up my motor for my2008 honda 450er it is my xc race quad and was wondering if anyone had ideas for complete motor rebuild on it all ideas welcome money aint a problem

What are you looking for?? Boring out?? Buying a fully built motor or doing it yourself.... I see its for gncc
Edit: what happened to your last motor?? Locked up?? Are you considering keeping the bottom end?

t gave up on me on the last lap the motor is pretty tired lol but I was looking for advice on a complete rebuild for the whole motor , I was thinking of boring it over to 40 , port and polish the heads , hot cam or web cam , stroker crank , not sure what pistons I want , Hinson full clutch setup heads all over the place and need ideas will be also riding as a trail daily but the trails are wide open dirtraods and I like speed haha

I would bore it the minimum your cylinder wear will allow. Avoid hotcam go with web 100%. I would also suggest staying away from the stroker crank. Reliability issues will start being a problem with that. Expecially gncc racing which is absolute devostation to everything on the quad. Stroker would be a no go. Porting the head will help some. Maybe look into bigger valves, high rev springs, titanium retainers. That kind of thing. Your clutch ideas sound spot on. I would go cp or je for pistons. I always personally run wiseco but gncc racing your gunna want the better end of pistons. Maybe up the compression a tad from what your running now. And if you dont already have suspension upgrades. Steering stabalizers, flexx bars, anti vib stems, pro bounce nerf bars. All the things that will take stress off your body and make you be able to handle the constant abuse longer will make you faster. My .02
