getting my granddaughters honda 2007 trx90 ac running again after sitting for 9 years. took care of the fuel system and am learning as I trouble shoot the electrical system. have two issues that may or may not be related. neutral indicator light does not come on. checked lamp, connections and replaced neutral safety switch. still not on. second issue is sometimes it will not fire. just dead. give it a little push and drop it in gear, return to neutral and try again, fires up no problem. have replaced battery, neutral safety switch, ignition module, plug and starter relay, rectifier is working and ignition switch(key) and starting button both are working as should be. was thinking maybe the contact plate under the NSS is worn or bad. any input would be greatly appreciated.

It sounds like the negative battery cable is not cleanly grounded where it bolts down onto the motor. There may also be a poor ground cable or ground wire (near the CDI?) connection on the frame. Assuming rodents haven't chewed up the wiring...?
