ok guys....i got a question for you. this has happend to me twice.......well i will be driving and then all of a sudden the rancher will dies. then it wont start for a while. sometimes it will start but when i give it gas it dies. then 5 mins later it will be fine. any ideas? it happend once in a water crossing goin as slow as i can so water wouldnt jump up into anything and then the other time was about 5-10 mins after the water crossing. could it be valves? something getting wet? any help would be great. thanks!!

Agree on the die-electric grease ^^^^^ but you may also want to check you fuel tank vent air filter ect.

nope. definately a fuel problem. did it the other day then we put it on a hill and it started. i think it might have something stuck in the fuel line or that covers it then when we put it on the hill it started and moved the debri down. i know its not water problems cuz it has happend 2 times while not even touching the water. hasnt did it lately so maybe it finally cleared its self:unsure:

try draining the fuel bowl on the carb, it may have some water in it. It only takes a little water to ruin your fun. I have seen them run for hours and the water will still sit in the bottom of the carb and shut it off when you least expect it. shut your gas off coming from the tank and drain the bowl may work may not but a quick check wont hurt.

who would have ever thought that would be the problem. Thanks letting us know. Glad it was a simple fix and your back up and riding.
