After my Rancher sat for a while it would not start, all I would hear is the "clicking" of the starter switch located close to the battery. Thinking it was the battery, since it was the original, I replaced it. Still had the same problem, so I replaced the Starter switch, het at $27.00 later and a new battery, I still have the same problem. I have checked all the fuses and am stumped. Any ideas? I am also looking for a good service manual if anyone could point my in the right direction.

Another issues, I think is unrleated - does nyone have any ideas why the cooling fan would stop working?

Thanks!

Sounds like the selinoid, not recommended but try using a screwdriver and make the screw driver touch both prongs on top of selinoid at the same time, if it attempts to crank you will be sure to know its not battery or starter or any wiring inbetween. try it and see. excuse the spelling. yes maybe you need to just tap the selinoid with a small hammer a few times. it will get you out the woods anyway
