it starts perfect with choke pulled out. but once it warms up it will not stay on without pulling on the choke. it runs perfect from 1/4 - full throttle but will not stay on while idling. how hard is it for a regular joe to pull and clean the carb? would you guys recommend this?

It's not very hard to do but have you checked your air filter lately if it's real dirty it will cause that.....oh and welcome to the forums!

If the filter is clean then you can try the carb. cleaner but in my experience it hasn't worked very well. Then you would have to tear the carb. down and clean it if the cleaner dosen't work. You are not running straight ethanol in it are you? This type of engine is not made for that.

Agree^^^ It sounds like the Slow Jet is partially clogged, pulling the carb off is the best way to get it clean.

Good luck. Like Billy said, just take your time and clean it and make sure you clean it good or you will end up having to redo it. It's easy to miss something when cleaning a carb.
