Hey everyone i am new to this site and im needing a little help please!!! i just bought a 2005 honda recon es and its in great shape runs perfect until the today i was messin around and pulled it up to do a couple wheelies and it kept bogging down and cuttin off?????? so i decided to take the carb off and see if it was gummed up since the guy i bought it from said it had been sitting for like 5 months. well anyways it didnt look bad i pulled the jets (they looked fine) and cleaned everything with carb cleaner put it back together and again same problem it runs great until the front wheels are up in the air lol so i took it through some trails and going up any hill with a steep incline it would do the same thing and to start it back up you have to pull the choke and play with the throttle it takes about a minute to get it started again does anyone have any idea whats wrong with it??? or has this happened to anyone else??? thanks

I know you said you cleaned the carb, but it still sounds like the carb needs to be cleaned. Also, check your gas tank cut off valve and make sure it isn't about stopped up.

Check any vent lines, all jets and air passageways, the needle valve and seat, float level, basically everything, because it's easy to miss something. Just take your time and make sure you go over it real good. Also, when you get the needle valve out, I would take an air hose and blow air through the gas inlet and out through the needle valve seat.

Figured it out it was the gas tank laying on top of a vent line to the carb so no air could get through now it will ride with the wheels in the sky like its supposed to be :yeahbaby01:

Glad you got it fixed and glad it was something simple.
