2005 recon 250 es, Will not shift , N light is on and 1sy gear blinks 5times then repeats, starts great

Code 5 is a shift motor circuit malfunction, most likely a poor connection in an untreated wet/corroded harness plug, or a waterlogged shift motor.
You'll need a copy of the service manual to run through the diagnostic steps. You can download one here:
