Cannot downshift from high gear using the electric shifter. All other functions are fine. Works if I shut off the engine and then I can downshift.

Hi Bobodu have you tried adjusting the clutch? That may be easiest—do you have the service manual? Link in my sig block

How old is your battery? 4 years or more you might suspect weak battery or corroded terminals. Clean the connections. These ES models need a healthy battery to shift right.

If that doesn’t work, there is a shift diagnostic flowchart in the service manual. Could point to some other components.

Battery is brand new. Didn't get a chance to look at her today. Sold the little 250 to pay my boat slip rental and sold my Fifth wheel for a bigger one...

Exactly spot on Goober!! Adjusted the clutch and she shifts perfectly!!
