My Honda just died on me in my last race in Baja. I replace the CDI box, coil, spark plug cable and new spark plug. The only thing that starts are the lights when kick start it. I still have no spark to my engine. What else could be the problem?

Check all your connections make sure you didn't loose a connection somewhere also check that aftermarket kill switch you put on they are notorious for playing out.

Checking most won't solve the problem checking ALL will. if you have a service manual for your quad get it out along with the trusty Multi meter because that's the most efficant way to tell wether or not a component is bad. Your service amnual will have all the specs on each component and how to test them.

I've checked almost all my connections. I have none to the coil and no spark to my spark plug.

Yeah it could but like I said get a servic manual it will be your new best frien....itwill help you rule out any un-necessary spending believe me... stators and CDIs are expensive. Coils are not

Do you have a multi meter?? you have to go to the eletrical section and test each component according to Mfg specs. if they all test ok then you got a wiring issue somewhere. try unplugging the keyswitch (should be 2 wires) and plugging them into themselves by-passing the key then see if you got spark.

Still cann't find the problem. I got the service 2004-2005 trx manual. To be honest this is not so easy to find why I don't have a spark.

The lights come on...you have system voltage, so the stator is most likely not the problem.

You don't have an aftermarket kill switch? What about the OEM switch...the red one on your handlebars?

I took off the keyswitch, The honda service manual says that when the switch is on OFF there should continuity on black/white and green also red and black. When I have my keyswitch on OFF I get continuity from black/white and green and none on red and black. Only when I turn the keyswitch on I continuity on red and black and none on black/white and green. Is this correct or is the service manual continuity check is correct?
How do you bypass the keyswitch? Do you cut all four wires and tie red with black and black/white with green?
