Welcome to the forums. Personally, I would stay away from the Hondamatic transmission because they can't be repaired and have to be replaced as an assembly when they go bad and they are expensive.
2005 honda rancher 400 AT question
Hey everyone, happy to be here.
I have owned many many hondas for work and now more for pleasure riding.
I'm looking at a like new 400 AT that has a whine in the transmission. Very pronuonced when you slow done. Is this a normal sound for this set up or should I stay away. (The machine only has 430 miles.) I would be grateful for any advice you may have. Thanks.
