Hey gang back at it again with my big Bore issues for my 2005 Honda rancher 350 ES. I was curious if anyone has used the high lifter big Bore kit and have a crazy amount of compression and if that was normal. I kid you not, if you were to try and pull start it you would tear your arm off. Im getting an issue where it try's to turn over and it's just sluggish, it's like dragged out and doesn't start. To the point where the starter is red hot after a couple of tries. I'm going to assume the high compression is causing this but wanted to double check.

And to top it all off, I still don't have the carb tuned right and I'm beating my head against the wall on that. So for anyone running a 350 with a big Bore kit are you just running the stock carb or have you messed with any jettings or anything? I don't want to bring it to a dealer because I am mechanically inclined and I know that it will probably cost me an arm and leg. any help would be greatly appreciated.

It shouldn't be that hard to turn over. IIRC the 350 BBK is only like 10.5:1 compression. There is something wrong, whether the piston clearance is too tight, the starter is junk, the decompression on the cam isn't working....etc. Something isn't right with that motor IMO.
