I have a chance to purchase a 2004 TRX 250EX the engine runs but is weak and smokes I know it needs to be rubuilt. The guy wants me to make an offer. I told him if he had to take it to the dealer he was going to be looking at 400 to 600 bucks to rebuild the engine parts and labor. I offered 500.00 like it sits. Is this a fair price or do you think I under cut him. I'm trying to look at the big picture on his part. My friend bought a 2005 for 1200.00 in near perfect condition with an aftermarket exhaust.
