ok I am really hoping thats what it is. Someone told me that it could be a shifting issue. the plates and springs are sticking wich is causeing it to stall. something about when in N it spinns freely and when u shift the springs adjust and if stuck or worn could cause it to stall. does this sound right or no? thank you

It sounds to me like you let the dealership fix it for you and have your friends pay the bill.

Rule #1 - you do not talk about fight club.
Rule #2 - YOU DO NOT TALK ABOUT FIGHT CLUB
Rule #3 - you don't let anyone ride your atv

ok so I want to start off by thanking for all your help guys. I had stopped down to the local honda dealership and bought a new air filter, plug and some carb cleaner. When i went to disassemble the air box from the carb i noticed right away there was a lot of mud and dirt in the box. come to find out the guy who i bought it from didn't know how to clamp the air filter on properly so it was getting dirt in the carb. sprayed a little in let dry cleaned the complete air box and that stupid plastic hose that comes off the box that sitts right next to the fuel tank. gotta find a different place to move it.I put everything back together fired it up and went for a ride for about 20 min. so fare so good. Not back firing or stalling. so all is good now. again thanks guys .:icon_ banana:
