You'll need to remove the air box, first. Loosen the clamp from the back of the carb where it fastens to the air box and remove the airbox snorkel. Last, under the bottom of the air box is one bolt that holds it on. You can access it from the right side of the ATV.

There are two bolts under the bottom, left side of the starter that hold the starter on and also the bracket that holds the bottom of the air box on. Just take these two bolts out and remove the bracket and the starter from the crankcase cover.

what he said ^^^^..takes about 15 min's or less to pull your starter.
