I saw on the internet people just selling the rings and gaskets for my rancher, but also saw people selling a new cylinder with rings and gaskets do i need a new cylinder or can i just get away with the rings and gaskets? 2003 Honda Rancher 350 Manual Shift.

It is very seldom that just rings are needed. We can't answer your question. You need to measure the cylinder to see if it is worn out. I do know one thing for sure tho. I would bore the cylinder and fit with an over sized piston unless it was almost perfect. The difference in cost isn't that much when you consider how long the new top end will last.
