2003 250EX rear end or brakes?

I was driving along in 3rd or 4th gear and i downshifted and as i did my rear end locked up. Came skidding to a stop. Any ideasor help wouldbe greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Can you rock your machine back and forth and shift gears back to neutral? Tell us more...
