So I decided to change the oil and filter on our 2001 TRX350TM today. Drained almost 2 quarts out of it. Replaced the drain bolt and changed the filter. Now I am trying to add the new oil. I removed the oil filler cap and could only pour about 1/2 quart into it. It is sitting at the very top. Pulled the dipstick out and it is bone dry. What in the world is going on? Why can’t I get oil into this thing? Is there a passage that could be plugged? I am assuming this passage would have to be fairly large to allow the oil to go where it needs to.
BTW, this is the first time I have changed the oil since getting it from my brother in law. Like I said in another post, he is not easy in stuff. I don’t think he ever changed the oil, for sure not the filter. There was dirt sitting on the lower ridges of the filter cap.
