I bought a 2001 TRX 90 FourTrax that will not stay running without the choke being choked.
The machine starts up and starts idling very high. The choke needs to be adjusted to idle down, however, the machine will not stay running unless the choke is on. As soon as I turn the choke down the engine will stall. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions?

Has anyone replaced the original carb with an OEM replacement from Wyncycles ($29.99 on Ebay)?

Thanks!

Hello,

You can get a copy of the service manual HERE to help you set up your carb right after a thorough cleaning. Follow those procedures word-for-word and you'll be a winner! Check that the carb mounting manifold isn't leaking and clean out the tank & put a new fuel filter in it before reinstalling the carb.

China parts are a waste of money and time. Have fun!

I too say clean the carb, but also make sure the air intake is clean and filter too
, also make sure the fuel tank is clean before bothering cleaning the carb, or you will have a dirty carb again right after you put it back on!

dump tank, make sure clean and use NEW fresh fuel afterwards, old saying do it right the first time?? will save you some swearing down the road HAHA!
and I agree DON"T use a cheap aftermarket carb, rebuild OEM
