When trying to start the solenoid would click but it wouldn't crank. I put a new aftermarket starter in and it worked for a while with no problems. After a few months it started doing the same thing. The solenoid would click but no cranking. I lived with pull starting for a couple years. I thought maybe I got a bad aftermarket starter so I bought another one and again everything was great for a while but then the same problem again. I replaced the solenoid and battery with no improvement.
