Looked at this quad yesterday with a thought to bid on it. It has a number of issues , the biggest being the slipping clutch. It has been dormant for almost two years and he said it was working well when he parked it. In this model, what may be the likeliest cause. centrifugal or plate??? And is there any way to make adjustments that he or I did not notice? Other than that and a bad right knuckle, the bike seems OK. Thanks
It could be either clutch, but more than likely, it's the shift clutch. The only adjustment is for the clutch free play, but that doesn't adjust for slippage, just free play for the shifting.
