2001 450 ES Foreman trany/shifter troubles

Bike parked working a year ago. Now no electric shifter and cannot move manual shifter, appears stuck/jammed/broken. Have rocked but manual shifter feels solid. Where can I access shifter mechanism, without pulling engine, to troubleshoot?

Different trouble in 2012. Posted in two sections in last few days hoping for more responses. Thanks for help Retro. Shift motor coming off.
