I think I found some of my problems I’ve been having. I have a uni foam air filter which I guess would be considered aftermarket? (If it is not please correct me) and I’m running stock jets in the carb. Would I need to change my jets for this air filter? Im also getting a new dg exhaust here soon and I know the jets will need to be replaced. So I guess my question is, is what would the best jets to use with this set up?
The uni filter is very similar to the stock filter. Your stock jets will be fine. When you put the pipe on and depending if your planning on leaving the airbox lid on or off will have a big effect on this. But the general rule.of thumb is 2 to 3 sizes up on main jet for the pipe and filter.(Airbox lid on). If you take it off i would bet 5-6 sizes and either way i would up the pilot jet one size aswell. And give the mixture screw another 1/4 to 1/2 turn from factory setting.
