Well I said I was going to wait till I got the Rancher going to work on the foreman, but nope. Was riding the foreman this past weekend, rear end started making a funky noise, got it back to the shop and pulled it apart. Pinion bearing is toast, and the needle bearing is shot. I ordered everything to go back through it. I've got everything apart and out except for the needle bearing casing, any tricks to getting that out. I was going to weld a rod to it on a slide hammer but wanted to check here first to see if any of you guys have a homebrew trick.

I use D-ray's method. I have a blind bearing puller but more often than not there's not enough of the bearing left for it to grab, so I end up drilling a hole and driving it out from the back.

Make sure you get that clip out. He presses it down. I use a tiny screwdriver and spin it till I can see an end, and then use a pick to pull it up where I can grab it with needle nose pliers and yank it out altogether.

Well, I got the foreman rear end back together, sorry I didn't get any re-build photos, once I got started it was hard to stop. I drilled a hole in the back of mine like D-Ray does, once I got the clip out it popped right out.....getting the circlip out is the fun part. Anyway, started it up and took it for a ride, sounds great, rides smooth, no growling. I did a little cleaning and painting while I had it apart, nothing special, I'll be tearing it back apart once the ranchers done for a full frame up build eventually. I need to adjust the rear brakes today and she'll be ready to go for a while.

yep, those circlips are a royal pain to remove..been there, done that a few times !..lol.
