Welcome to the forums. I don't think it will work, but I could be wrong. I doubt if the differential would be straight in line with the output shaft on the back of the engine. The axle on the Foreman may be wider than the Recon, too. I believe the whole rear end is completely different.
2000 honda recon rear end
okay guys i'm new to the forum. i just bought a 2000 recon for $300 bucks done some carb cleaning and other maintence and got it running but the rearend is making a horrible noise and i was thinking about replacing it. a buddy of mine has a 05 foreman rearend i was curious if anyone has done this kind of swap or if its even possible? thanks for all your help

Yeah, I would say that rebuilding it would be the best way to go.i'm gonna tear it apart tomorrow and see if i can rebuild it
