I have a 2000 Rancher manual shift. The atv is in neutral bc it rolls but the neutral light will not come on, so I cannot use the electric shift. I feel as though a wire is loose or plug has come loose. Where would I check the wires and how would I repair it? Thanks

Welcome to the forums. You need to test the gear position switch. Here are the procedures. If you have the manual shift model, follow the instructions for the TM/FM models. The manual shift will have a 2 pin connector and the electric shift models will have an 8 pin connector.

When you unplug the connector, make sure you use the switch side connector, not the waring harness side connector, to do the tests.
