Hello all, i need help. My 350 rancher speedometer is water logged. Honda part number is 37200-hn5-a12(4x4) and has been on back order for months. Would anyone know what the difference between the 37200-hn4-a12 (2x4) would be

I bought and returned that particular speedometer 2 weeks ago and was lucky to be able to return it to the dealer. The plug keys and terminal configuration is different than the original speedometer. The closest i have found is for a 2wd version of this atv. Thanks for the reply

The only other part number that maybe compatible is 2003-2005 is 37200-hn5-m11. Does anyone have access to a wiring harness diagram for the 2000 honda rancher 350 electric shift and a 2003 honda rancher 350 electric shift?

I would think that the 2000 TE (37200-HN4-A11) meter would be a closer match than the '03 and up FE meters because of identical wiring in those meter plugs. AND identical part numbers for the shift ECMs and CDIs. Worse case I can think of for that swap might be a differently shaped 14P plug..?

Hey thanks guys, y'all are awsome. My thought process is that 00 to 02 use an two peice speedometer housing, and a 03 and up use a unit ultra-sonicly welded together unit due to leaking issues. Goober i saw that $1000.00 price tag and i wasn't impressed. Honda tells me that these are on back order, and another source tells me that they are discontinued. The 2003 uses the same 14p plug and it also appears that the connector is keyed the same i hope that the run the same voltage.

Alright, the TE/FE wiring harness, the gear indicator switch, the speed sensor, the CDI and the ECM are identical part numbers in 2000. So the TE meter will plug in to the FE harness and the wiring diagram shows that none of the wires are arranged any differently in the 14P meter plugs. I can't think of any reason why the TE meter cannot be directly interchanged can you?

The TE meter is cheaper too, ($176.45) by $65.58. Is it available?

The 14P meter connector is wired differently in 2003 due to an upgraded ECM that has more wires going to it. Check the 2003 diagram again... see the W/P wire (3rd from bottom of the plug) going to the ECM?

Just the cheaper price apparently. The '00 thru '02 TE meter is your only option. It should plug right in and work right out of the box.

See the attachments for the reason why the 2003 and up meters won't work on the early Ranchers. Hint: Added ESP DTC codes capabilities to the ECMs & Meters.

Let us know how you like that new TE meter on your FE, so others can benefit from this. :)
