My friend’s 2002 450ES was blowing the main fuse when key turned on. We looked to make sure it wasn’t the recent electrical connections that were done and it wasn’t. After I did some research, the rectifier seemed like it was the culprit. He ordered one from Amazon, I told him to get a Honda one and he didn’t, but the new rectifier solved the problem, no more blown fuses. Not sure if that’s the problem with your machine, but it was with his. I read once the rectifier is no good, current flows in the direction it’s not supposed to and blows the fuses.

start disconnecting electrical plugs till it quits blowing fuses , start with the regulator ^^^ as trailfreak suggested --- if you don't want to waste a bunch of fuses , put a test light where the fuse goes , when you unplug a connector and the light goes out you will know that you are on that circuit -----

See if you can find an old flasher relay & hook it up instead of the fuse so you arent going thru a bunch lol. Good way to test stuff doing what the last 2 posters said.
i had not heard of this before. interesting. i never thought of doing this to test a circuit.
how does it work? i.e. clicks faster if to much power. i still got a couple of those laying around, if i can find them. maybe more. lols

It works the same as a relay in your house elec/ box. Instead of blowing & being no good anymore, it breaks the circuit, cools off & then comes back like your blinkers in a car. I worked tractor trailer shop in my late teens & some of the guys there would take an old flasher relay/blinker switch from a car & use it. I'll take a pic of mine later today. I've had it for just under 30 years & used it as recently as this past summer.

blinker relay

What does an old flasher relay look like?
a tin can in a way 1.5 inches tall. 1.5 inches in diameter. two electrical prongs out the bottom, and silver in colour.
ya might check with an auto store, there are to many older vehicles still around, not to get one. any auto junkyard will have plenty.
you just lay on the floor look up behind the dash, and you may see 2 or them. 1 for blinkers, 1 for emergency flashers. i think they are in the 85 ranger, i got, and maybe in the 92 ranger i had. i dont remember when they went to electronic. normally, they last a long time.
