- I was dealing with this same problem and all forums and tests lead me to think it was the solenoid. So considering that it was a cheap part to buy and easy to install, i put a new one on and at the time of starting it again, it just clicked. Just like it was doing with the old starter solenoid. So after checking and cleaning all connections i found that the positive terminal that runs to the top of the positive solenoid post was almost making no contact underneath the tape. The terminal and wire connection was broken but it looked intact since the tape was covering it. So as soon as i patched it up again and crimped the ends. My honda started right up! So if your having what seems like a bad contact issue/clicking issue. Look underneath all those taped connections running from your batter to solenoid or etc. Hope this help.
