I have a 2000 400 ex. I just put a fmf powerbomb header and powercore 4 silencer and k&n filter on it. I bumped the main jet up to a 150 and the pilot jet to a 40. The bike idles great, but when i try to take of it bogs and the engine stalls. The headers are starting to turn blue comming right out of the heads. Does this mean that it is running too hot? anyone have any recomendations on what i should do?

I'd say it should be a 155 main. Also did you mod your airbox lid or take it off.

i would have no problems and then the bike would start to bog and lose power . i would wait a few minutes trying to hold the throttle steady in nuetral to push the fuel thru then eventually it would start to gain power. it would be good for hour or so then start doing it again. i would be riding and it would just fall flat on its face with no power

You really shouldn't ride in much of that with a sport quad anyway. The bearings go out.

Come on Billy, Most of my races consist of mud and water. All of my bearings are still stock after 3 years.

underneath the airbox should be a plastic cup drain if you know your going to ride in a nasty area just remove that in put it in your pocket. just never go in water thats too much over the tires. remove the sparkplug and let us know what color it is.
