i have a 1999 300ex. when ever i start the engine up i hear a clicking noise on the right side of the engine. does that sound like the timing chain is going out?

yep. might check your valve clearence first but I bet its your chain.

is timing chain pretty hard to get to? or check if thats wats wrong?
