i have recently posted a thread regarding my broken pull start/ electric start on this bike, and thank you for all of the help who have posted have given me. i replaced the battery, and checked all my wires and my electric start appears to be working. but it doesn't engage the motor, i can hear something spinning as i hit the button, but does anyone know why it may not be starting?

Sounds like you have sheared off the starter drive gear pin/keyway or stripped out the teeth on the starter drive.

do you know if there is anyway to fix that under a low budget? the pullstart worked too though, is that a sign that i havent stripped anything?

Pull start is in a different location and pulling the center of the flywheel the starter runs on the ring gear on the outer edge.

Im going to say your issue may lie in the gears you won't know until you pull out the starter.
