I recently acquired a free 1999 honda foreman 450es from my father. Since I got it I've put in an new battery, new wiring harness, new tires, and rebuilt the brake system. After that I noticed a large battery drain and tracked it to the fan control unit which I replaced. After that it ran fine for a couple of weeks then it suddenly died and is not getting spark. I'm getting no voltage to the coil and followed the repair manual and tested power at the ICM from the pulse generator and it recommends a .7 volt minimum. I am getting 6.8 volts. I have replaced the ICM with a Chinese nock off. I'm still not getting a spark is the problem from the higher voltage from the pulse generator or the Chinese nock off ICM? any help would be great.
