What is causing my Foreman to backfire and it won't stay running unless the choke is closed? Fuel Filter? Changed out gas, cleaned carb . . . any ideas?
jets are stoped up with some small trash..take the carb back off..inspect the jets..hold them up to a good light..see if you can look through the center of them ?..if not..take one wire from a wire brush..and run it through the jet..this will clean it out..do not use anything bigger than one wire from a wire brush..or this will distort the jet.

Yeah, something is still in the carb. When you clean the jets, don't forget to blow out the passageways in the carb body with an air hose. I would remove the float and float needle, the main jet, the slow jet, the starter jet, and the pilot screw. Don't loose the tiny o-ring, the tiny washer, and spring when you take the pilot screw out and make sure you lightly seat the pilot screw and count how many turns out it is before removing. After you get all those out and cleaned, blow out all the passageways in the carb body with an air hose.
