so im looking for some help here. I have a 1998 honda 300ex, the thing fire right up and idles fine, but as soon as you hit about 50% throttle it starts misfiring like crazy. I just changed the spark plug (which was fouled out) and tried a coil/spark plug wire set up off of my other quad and it still does the same exact thing. If any one has any suggestions i'd really appreciate it

Sounds like it could be a fuel issue. What is the condition of your carb, and did this just start happening out of nowhere?

The carb was cleaned maybe about 6 months ago and is actually a carb that i took off of a 1993 300ex. Right now my little brother has some sort of cam2 racing fuel or somthing in it. This did start happening out of no where.

I would try draining the racing fuel and get some normal gas in there.

also..with it sitting..or not ran for 6 months..it prob would be a good idea to take the carb off..and give it a good cleaning...your jets maybe stoped up alittle.
