I just replaced battery 14bs I believe, ran it just fine around the house, took in the woods this w/e, once it got to temp it acted as if the battery was getting fully drained and lost all power. Pull started ran then shut down. Let it cool down for while while checking all conections pull started and rode back to trailer. Checked all fuses everything looked good, put the battery back on the charger battery seemed to hold charge??? Any ideas stator??? short in one of the lines?? Thanks

welcome to the forums. could be a short in a line. could be a bad battery. sometimes even brand new batteries can be bad right out of the box.

Welcome to the forums. You need to figure out if the ATV is charging first. Fully charge the battery and then put it in the ATV. Start the ATV and check voltage at the battery. You should get around 14-14.5 volts with the engine running.

Thanks lots of info on the board. Might of figured out my issue, when I bought the battery I put it on a maintainer not a charger? It was a 2amp maintainer, and probably put a little charge in the batter but enough? Its going to be a week or so before I get back up and recharge it, I'll update once I get it on a charger. thanks Dave
