Bought this 1998 TRX300FW from an older guy who used it for hunting. When I got it it wouldn't fire. I replaced the rectifier and CDI with OEM parts and it runs great now (my kid has been riding laps around the house on it because I won't let her ride it unsupervised).

4wd, all stock, runs great.

Has a couple of small cracks in the plastics that I stitched with zipties to keep them from spreading and the rear hubs are welded onto the axle.

Front brakes work, rear brakes do not.

The rear diff is good and tight.

Motor starts on the first revolution and has no smoke or noises.

Good honest 300 that hasn't been used as a boat.

Asking $1400 for it.

Yeah? I was just kidding with my mom a bit ago fishfiles... told her I was gonna hook up the little orange trailer and run down to Arkansas and buy me a green 300! LOL If I didn't have so much going on right now I'd have already been packed up, but I just can't leave here and buy another bike right now. I'll get a 300 (or two) later this year though. Whoever buys that one from Jeep will get a good deal on a great bike for sure!

I figured it might be a bit of a drive.

Besides, you want to buy one that's a project so you can go through it and do all the necessary upgrades.

No sense in tearing down a good running bike when you can find a cheap beater than needs to work done anyway.

Of the ones I'm keeping none have good rear ends, all need at least a top end, and none have working brakes.

My kid is ticked as she's been riding this one and the tan one I bought for her is far from being ready to go.

Yikes, maybe ya oughta hold on to it for a while then. But I wonder how she might like a Creamsicle Rancher in trade? I could toss in a new orange chain saw to match! Just kidding though... my mom has her heart set on riding the Creamsicle. Like you said Jeep, I don't need a real nice 300, cause I'd just ruin it with mods. :)

Only you shade.

I've got a kickstart cover ordered. The rear cross racks seem to be gone on most of these things, and when I priced the rubber bits and bushings I see why. $10 each for the straps and similar for the plastic bushings. I guess people get tired of them rattling and take them off.
