I got a 300ex I just replaced the throttle cable and after I replaced it it now leaks gas really bad dos any one know why?

You probably got the slide in wrong. It has a notch that needs to line up with the slide.

but still why would the slide being wrong make it leak gas if the slide controls the air and gas flow throo the jet?
