Okay so I have a 1995 300 fourtrax and it keeps blowing a 20A fuse in the back. There are 2 fuses and it’s only blowing one of them. It only does it when I try to use electric start. I’ve tried unhooking the solenoid. I’ve traced the wires down and looked for naked wires and there’s nothing. Any suggestions?

welcome. have you replaced the starter solenoid lately ?, is the this spot where the 20 amp fuse the main fuse ?, if so ?, then that fuse is suppose to be a 30 amp fuse from memory ?. all battery cables hooked up the correct way ?.

Yes it’s a new solenoid. and there are 2 20A fuses in the back.

Where did you get the solenoid ? Honda OEM or Ebay or such , if not OEM solenoid , then I would bet the solenoid is your problem , a OEM solenoid for a 95 300 is like $60 , a OEM solenoid for a 420 is like $16 and it is the same thing

Do you have any other china parts on it yet? Does the motor kick start and run?

Found the problem. It was a damaged wire inside the push button switch.
