This may be a noob question, But I recently purchased a 1993 300 fourtrax primarily for ice fishing, but I also have a cottage on lake Huron that is nothing but sand, is there anything I should do before taking it down to the beach, or is that why its called an all terrain vehicle? I have had this sand wreck many items, cameras, binoculars, watches..etc etc.. There are also hundreds of miles of trails that i can use but once again all sand... :nerd

Thanks, Dennis

You'll go through bearings in sandy conditions, but as long as you keep it out of the motor (good clean, oiled air filter) it shouldn't hurt anything else.

Bearings are wear items anyway, so ride it, enjoy it, and fix it when something wears out.
