I recently bought a 1992 TRX350, my first ATV and am doing some repairs, repainting, maintenance etc. to get it ready for spring. I have been puzzled by an electrical part that is mounted on the side of the headlight bracket (Picture attached).

I have been going through every manual and schematic I can find and can not find what it is. It has a positive and negative lead coming off it (originally had an aftermarket cigarette lighter connected to it) and it also has some kind of a dual port socket on the side with a rubber plug to seal it. Can anyone tell me what this is and\or for?

That makes a ton of sense and I am glad that is what it is as I want to install a USB charger\12VDC power plug and that would be ideal. Any idea where I can get more info on it, like what the plug on the side is (never seen a configuration like that before)?

Sounds like it, but it has to the two leads coming off that were connected to the after market power plug, and this is talking about the plug on the side being where you wire it in. Next time I am at the farm I will have to dig a little deeper. Thanks!

Here’s how I did mine.

Take off the cover. pull out the plug; look inside you’ll see the plug ends. There is an inner and outer portion you must separate; use a pair of pliers to GRIP a plug end. Carefully pull the outer portion away.

It’s in you manual at the link in my sig block

It's a 'Honda only' configuration I believe .....
