Question...I have a 1992 Honda trx300fw that needs a new upper A Arm because it was bent. Honda discontinued the 1992 part number but my question is will the 1993 which is available fit the 1992? Any help here would be appreciated.

Head over to bikebandit, punch in your model and look at the parts. However, the parts houses and the dealer should know what parts fit what years. If they are telling you that the 92 part is discontinued then it might be different than a 93 part, because parts that fit several model years usually use the same part number.

But, check bikebandit first, they should be fairly reliable in cross matching parts. If you have no luck, go to ebay and just keep watching there because a lot of 300's move through salvage houses and you should be able to find one if you keep your eyes open.

I just looked at they are definitely different part numbers and the 92 is definitely discontinued. The arms look the same in the picture, but I don't think it is worth chancing a special order part.

I'd personally keep looking on ebay and get one there.

i know a guy in lauisiana his name is roy he has a ton of honda parts he might have an a arm off a bike he has laying around you can buy and ship to you .

Thanks guys. I just got the part from Powersports.com. The parts are exactly the same. The difference is only the part number. I guess this part is outsourced from Honda and they are buying from someone else for this particular part.

Update

The A Arm for the 93 model will not fit the 92 year model. They are exactly the same except it is to short in width where it connects to the frame. Uggg. Trying to find one on EBAY now.
