Good Evening. I am a new member with many questions. I have a 1991 Fourtrax 300 4x4. I had top end rebuilt and carburetor cleaned.(At least that is what the mechanic told me.) It has a new starter, solenoid and battery, My problem is, while riding it stalls out. I can get it started again after priming the carb about three times. I will ride for another 15 -30 mins and it will stall again. I appreciate all suggestions.

Sounds like a piece of trash still in the carb or maybe the vent hose on the gas cap or a fuel filter, and welcome to the forums.

Thanks for the updates. Do you recommend a fuel filter that I can add to the system? Also, there is no vent on my gas cap. Can I pry the on/off metal switch off the gas cap, drill a hole and add a vent hose?

An inline filter wouldn't hurt. Dont pry the cap apart not a good idea.

Is it possible your gas tank vent is in the off position? That will cause what you are experiencing

Welcome to the forums. Was the gas tank cleaned out could have sucked some trash back into the carb. In line filter is a good idea like saber said.

The switch on the gas cap is your vent make sure it is in the on position, if in the off position will run a little while and will shut off cause the fuel can not flow with out air getting into the tank.
