I have a 1987 Honda Fourtrax 350 4x4. I have owned it for about 10 years now and lately I get a bad clicking noise from the front differential only while turning. The bearings and CV joints are GOOD. I have taken it to a local shop. Supposedly it is a fluid issue with the LS clutches in the diff. They said Honda doesnt sell the fluid OR the Clutches anymore. It will stop clicking for a little bit after changing the fluids, but then comes back after an hour or two of use. Anyone know where and what I should buy to get a permanent fix?

Thanks,

Brad

I, too, have an 87. Mine is the Fourtrax 350. The front makes a horrible clanking sound like a mower hitting a rock and then the wheels lock up and she quits. A friend looked her over and said the front diff needs to be rebuilt or replaced. I found a front diff on Ebay for an 88-89 Foreman 350. Will that work? I'd like to replace it while I rebuild the original. But I'm trying to find out if it'll work first.
Parts for the old girl are getting scarce but I'm not ready to let her go just yet.

Thank you so much! I'll definitely download that service manual. Now to talk the hubs into letting me order that part;) Which shouldn't be too hard if I bat my eyes and make his favorite meal first. I might have to promise to fix his 86 bayou 300 as well. But that's for the Kawasaki forum🤣
