more than likely your shifting arm is either bent..or broken..the only way to find this out..is to remove the side cover and inspect it...if i remember right..it's on the right side..so you will need to remove the right side cover in order to see how bad it is..if it's bent or broken..you will need to remove the clutch pack in order to get to it..i'm not for sure on this part..it has been sooooo long sinse i worked on a trx 70.
1986 TRX 70 Shifting Problems
Looking for troubleshooting steps to diagnosing what could be causing my son's 1986 TRX 70 not to shift into gear. My son commented on that it was getting harder and harder to shift into and up gears. It seemed to shift down gears easily, but not up. It now will not shift into gear at all. Any help would be much appreciated!!
