A friend at work gave me very used TRX 250 that he said would run sometimes. I took it home put some fresh had in it and proceeded to kickstart it. After spraying some starting fluid in the intake it fired up and ran for about 30 minutes then died and wouldn't start back up. I pulled the carb and tank. The tank had some rust in it but I cleaned it as best as I could and rebuilt the carb. Now I can't seem to get this thing to run at all. My question is... Has anyone installed one of those new carbs off of eBay? I can pick one up for about $40.

99% chance you will waste that $40 --------also if you have rust in your tank , I would clean and line the tank with a tank sealer , those little pieces of rust will give you headaches in the future , especially with a TRX250A carb , that is known to have problems with over flowing from sticking float valve

I have cleaned the tank really good. There really wasn't much rust in it. Would y'all suggest a new carb or rebuild it again? Where's the best place to get a good carb? Sorry about the dual post. I didn't think this one went through. still trying to get the hang of post from my phone. Thanks guys!
