Ok here's the deal,
I picked up a 125 for my stepson and myself to work on together and then he will have one to ride when were done. The guy that I purchased it from put a 110cc motor in it and butchered up the wiring. I purchased a new wiring harness, replaced the coil with a 1986 125 model original, relplaced the cdi box with a 1986 125 model, replaced regulator with a 125 model, printed off a wiring schematic and made sure all of the wires are where they belong. since its a 110 instead of a 125 the two wires that would go to the starter selenoid are not connected to anything and the oil light control along with the neutral switch light are not connected. So the only things that were not replaced and are with the 110 motor would be the cdi pulse coil (pickup coil)and the alternator. How do I test the pulse coil and should there be any power running into it or coil before it starts? I still do not have any spark and was wondering where its triggered from? What tests can i perform?
