I was out riding last night and out of no where I heard a bang. No the transmission grinds and won't go into any gear. I'm assuming the transmission is shot but the motor is running strong as an ox. Does anyone have any connections on a good transmission without paying an arm and a leg? Thanks in advance!

Could be stripped splines on the drive shaft. Much easier to fix.

you need to have a look at the sprocket drive on the left rear side of motor, see if the sprocket splines are stripped ?, or the sprocket itself ?. worse case ?, the sub-transmission gear/gears inside right there are bad ?. I do not remember right off hand if it has an outer sub-transmission case for hi and low ?, if it does ?, you can remove the cover and have a look without worrying about the inside...yet !.

Alright took apart the subtransmission and found that 4th gear has a tooth sheared. I've looked everywhere for that gear and haven't found a thing. Does anyone know where I can find one?(Gear to the right of the shaft.)
ebay is your best bet.
